The Guam seal is oval shaped which represents a sling stone which was used
as a weapon by ancient Chammorro warriors. Displayed within the oval shaped
seal is a proa (sailing canoe) representing the swift and sea-faring nature of their
origin; a lone but majestic coconut tree; and the distant cliffline of Two Lovers
Point, denoting the Chammorro's insular nature and the beauty of Guam's pristine
environment.
